SPOONIES ERG: Past & Future Events
2023 Spoonies Kickoff
This event was SPOONIES ERG's first meet and greet, where members, allies, and anyone from across the Enterprise were encouraged to join to get to know the ERG's co-chairs and executive sponsor. The event gave members a safe space to learn about where the name "SPOONIES" came from, hear about plans for the ERG, learn how to foster awareness around disabilities and the abilities of those individuals & empower a positive culture to share, learn, grow, and teach about disabilities.
2023 Disability Pride Month Celebration
Our 2023 Disability Pride Month Celebration was an opportunity to learn about the history of Disability Pride Month and Disability Independence Day, commemorating the historic passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Following the event, we held a bingo game with a theme featuring celebrities with disabilities. The game was open to the entire organization to participate and enjoy!
2024 Diverse Voices of Disability Pride
This event, coming soon to the Enterprise, is an insightful celebration of Disability Pride Month. Panelists will share their diverse experiences with hidden and visible disabilities, as well as those who care for loved ones with disabilities. We encourage members to come and gain valuable perspectives and engage in meaningful discussions about inclusion, resilience, and the challenges and triumphs within the disability community.
