2024 Key Events
Special Operations Transition Foundation (SOTF) Panelist Discussion
Vaco and MorganFranklin Consulting Hosted SOTF and 20 of their participants, military members or veterans transitioning out of the service, for a panel discussion at headquarters in Nashville. Several businesses participated in round tables to answer questions about life after the military, largely focused on professional success and development. This provided a great opportunity to network with the participants and local businesses in the Southeast.
Sponsor and Participant in Special Operations Transition Foundation (SOTF) Annual Golf Fundraiser
To bolster the relationship between Vaco and SOTF, Vaco sponsored and participated in a golf tournament to raise money for the organization that supports Veterans transitioning out of the military. The foursome was partnered with two veterans transitioning off of active duty and had several hours to discuss career paths and post-military opportunities in the Nashville area and beyond.
First DOD Skillbridge Intern Hosted
Through the DOD Skillbridge Program, veterans transitioning from active duty are afforded the opportunity to intern with a company in an industry that they are interested in pursuing a career in after service. In Q2 of 2024, MorganFranklin Consulting hosted Joshua Hepner, an Army veteran from 5th Special Forces group. He was placed on a rotational track where he partnered with different MorganFranklin solution groups and participated in live client-facing projects. His exposure to management consulting cemented his desire to pursue the profession and helped shape his choices in coursework as he begins his MBA at Duke University. We hope to see Josh back as an MBA candidate when he completes his program!
Honor Memorial Day with the Veterans ERG
The Veterans ERG opened up their monthly meeting in May to all employees of Vaco Holdings and its collective of brands. Veteran colleagues discussed what Memorial Day means to them, and more.
Honoring Veterans Day
In honor of Veterans Day, the Veterans ERG is hosting a luncheon event at the Nashville and McLean offices of Vaco and MorganFranklin Consulting. This gathering is an opportunity to come together to recognize and celebrate the service and contributions of veterans within our community and hear directly from local members of the Veterans ERG as they share personal experiences and insights.
UPCOMING HIGHLIGHTS
The Veterans ERG will continue to host the SOTF events in Nashville as well as participating in the fund raiser in 2025. Additionally, they will continue to seek SkillBridge participants for 2025.
