Past Event: Fresh Beginnings - Nowruz and the Welcoming of Spring
The most recent addition to Vaco Holdings’ employee resource groups, EMERGE held its signature event "Fresh Beginnings: Nowruz and the Welcoming of Spring" in March of 2024 for employees of Vaco Holdings and its collective of brands. Participants experienced the joy of Nowruz, the enchanting Persian New Year that marks the arrival of spring! By engaging in a virtual workshop, employees discovered the art of setting the Haft-seen table, an essential aspect of Nowruz, and delve into the fascinating history and profound meanings behind the symbolic items that adorn this festive table.

In its inaugural year as an employee resource group (ERG), EMERGE plans to hold quarterly events to engage ERG members and invite enterprise employees to discuss key pillars of Middle Eastern and North African culture.

Key initiatives for 2024
The main goal for this year is to establish a strong foundation for EMERGE by ensuring all members feel welcomed, safe and attended to while focusing on building strong connections across Vaco Holdings and the collective of brands. We aim to serve as a welcoming, empowering and informative community to all interested in learning more about MENA (Middle Eastern and North African) culture.
